They will become available for order as a special offer to online service subscribers at an undisclosed date.

In the Nintendo Direct presentation showing off Nintendo Switch Online, Gradius, Double Dragon, and Mighty Bomb Jack were among the 3rd party games shown for the service. If interested in the service, you'll be able to take it for a seven-day test drive when it goes live next week. For example, when playing Super Mario Bros online, you can use a hand-shaped cursor to point out hints to your friends now playing.

The premium service was originally slated to arrive in late 2017, but was eventually pushed back by nearly a year.

Starting 18 September, Nintendo Switch users will be getting an online service comparable to PSN and Xbox Live. Some of the games that will be available at launch include Dr. Mario, Super Mario Bros. More information on all of this will be revealed tomorrow during the Nintendo Direct. 3, Donkey Kong, Ice Climber, and The Legend of Zelda. Not only is the feature not guaranteed to be compatible for all games, it must also be done via the Nintendo Switch Online app. We might hear about more games during the Nintendo Direct on Thursday. Not all games will support this feature, but it's a relief to see Nintendo add a feature that should have been ready at launch.
