Google sends out invites for October 9 Pixel event

Is Google having a surprise for October 9th

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are part of the third generation Pixel smartphone edition that debuted in 2016.

For 2018, Google's event is scheduled for a slightly later date of October 9. The fully bezel-less smartphone has been seen from Vivo, OPPO and Xiaomi in the recent times and there could be a possibility that Google might finally do justice to its flagship smartphone with a class-leading design instead of following the trend.

For those of us that aren't a fan of the "notch", you needn't worry, as details and shots of the Google Pixel 3 have also leaked online sans notch, which gives Pixel fans a clear choice to vote with their wallets come October 4 (which, by the way, is World Animal Day) and is also the date Google will announce the handsets.

Microsoft confirmed through a teaser that it will hold a new event on October 2.

For those who don't want to rely on speculation when making their next smartphone purchasing decision, Google's exclusive hardware event in October will make or break all the rumors that have been released about the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Be aware that no teaser has been released from the company.

The Pixel 3 XL is widely expected to come with edge-to-edge bezel-less screen display with top notch housing two camera lens, sensors, earpiece and speakers. For comparison, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were launched in India at Rs 61,000 and Rs 73,000, respectively. Tipsters have even gone on to post unboxing videos of the Pixel 3 XL, complete with camera samples on their channels. The glimpse of this smartphone was recently found in a lift cab after a device was discontinued.

The scale of which the Pixel 3 XL has been leaked is unprecedented, with a device even being left in the back of a Lyft, to high-quality product shots of the unreleased device. However, Wear OS Engineering Director Miles Barr dismissed these claims. Similarly, upgrades of pixel Bud Headphones are also expected. Which devices do you expect to see at the event? This event will start at 8:30 pm IST.
