Apple expected to unveil bigger, pricier iPhone on Wednesday

The new iPhone line-up will reportedly feature a refreshed version of the iPhone X - first introduced a year ago, alongside a larger-screen device and a cheaper iPhone that will also feature the iPhone X's all-screen front panel and Face ID technology.

First of all the names are based on the leaks and rumours. A latest leak also confirms that there's a chance that Apple might skip the Touch Bar on the new MacBook Pro.

While it's unclear whether Apple will announce the new laptop Wednesday, it is widely expected to unveil new iPhones and Apple Watch models at its event this week.

Supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo released his predictions for Apple's event on Wednesday (via 9to5Mac), and some of them were pretty interesting. The rumors indicate there will be at least two versions: the iPhone XS, which will be 6.1 inches and will be the more affordable model, and the iPhone XS Max, which will be a whopping 6.5 inches (the biggest iPhone yet).

As indicated, there might be the large iPhone XS Max and apart from the 6.5-inch display, Apple could try out a 3-camera setup and support for the Apple Pencil on this model.

"Apple's decision to launch three iPhone devices this week is a strategic move to regain footing in multiple areas of the mobile market", he said.

Most of the buzz is swirling around a rumoured iPhone.

. While similar in size to the iPhone 8 Plus, the Xs Max will employ a steel chassis opposed to aluminum. But in terms of improvements, it is expected that the Apple Watch Series 4 will use a bigger display and components inside it that are faster.

Apple's stock price went up dramatically when the company revealed the average selling price of an iPhone was going up. The iPhone XS is expected to be priced around $900 and the iPhone XC may come with a global price tag of something between $600 to $700.

It also brought the iPhone into a new price bracket: $999.

But in India, the global prices are no indication for the local prices.
