Mac Miller’s death raises suspicions as police finds his house scrubbed clean of drugs

Ariana's been silent since TMZ first broke the news Friday - Miller died at his San Fernando Valley home from an apparent overdose.

Mac Miller's ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande has taken to Instagram to pay a tribute to him following his sudden death.

A statement from Miller's family said: "Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26".

"This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favourite people on the planet", she wrote over a picture of them cuddling on the sofa. "For all his goofy, comedian persona, he's actually a super deep and sweet guy, he's really empathetic, and he loves Ariana with every piece of his heart, all he wants to do is protect her as much as humanly possible".

Ariana and Mac performed together past year at the One Love Manchester concert following the terrorist attack which took place after her concert at Manchester Arena. A drug overdose is believed to be the cause of his death.

Shortly after they parted ways, Grande responded to a fan on Twitter who criticised her for dumping him and said their relationship had been "toxic".

He talked about his quest for sobriety in a 2016 Vogue profile, saying, "I'm just changing how I live life, my state of mind..."

Ed Sheeran posted a photo of himself and Mac on his Instagram account where he spoke about his memories of the rapper. Rest in peace Mac.

Within weeks, Grande had begun dating Pete Davidson, and the pair confirmed their engagement in June.

He also contributed to an official remix of her song "Into You", while the two had also worked together on the song "My Way" years before getting together, which they performed at the One Love Manchester benefit concert last year.

Alongside a clip of himself and Mac in a film togther, Snoop Dogg added: 'So sad u gone home young Mac I had to post this to smile and think about the good Time we had on the set of this movie man god bless ya family.
