Tyson Fury confirms Deontay Wilder bout after second comeback win

Deontay Wilder Tyson Fury

The heated confrontation came after Morecambe's former world heavyweight ruler eased past Francesco Pianeta at Windsor Park on Saturday night in the second fight of his comeback after almost three years out of the ring. But Fury is never one to shy away from the spotlight completely, as we saw last night.

"Any time, any place, anywhere", stated Fury.

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder crashed Tyson Fury's weigh-in Friday in Northern Ireland.

Tyson Fury warned Deontay Wilder that he would knock the American out when they eventually meet in their world heavyweight title fight.

Asked for a message for 30-year-old Fury, Wilder said: "Be ready". This fight will happen. "This is on, this fight is official".

"We are two men that will fight everybody; they called, I answered, I said "Send me the contract" and they sent it, I signed it".

Fury's promoter, Frank Warren, standing near the two fighters in the ring, said an announcement will be made next week. I said send me the contract, they sent me the contract.

Fury needs to beat Pianeta to fight Wilder later this year

"My promise is, I got my 10 rounds here tonight, but one thing I promise when I get to Las Vegas, I am knocking you the f*** out bum". Wilder will be ringside, and he and Fury are widely expected to step into the ring together in November.

The first fight of his return was an nearly comical bout against Albanian cruiserweight Sefer Seferi in June, which ended after the fourth round when Fury's opponent quit.

"Let's face it, he's not really fought anybody and he's had 40 fights", declared Fury, referring to Wilder's own unblemished history.

"He'd better take this guy very seriously".

His ringwalk was to the song Sweet Home Alabama. Joshua v Fury would be massive for a United Kingdom and global audience, then Joshua-Wilder and then this.

"It was a calculated boxing performance as promised". I'm happy with the performance.

"At one stage I thought I was going to end up in a padded room, never mind be back boxing. It's no secret I needed the rounds to be able to show I can slip and slide still and I did just that".
