The body of a baby boy was recovered in New York City yesterday close to one of the city's most famous landmarks. There was no respiration nor pulse.

The baby's parents were not on the scene.

"It's little head was under the water but his little legs were over", the Oklahoma tourist told CBS2. "I'm more than positive 11 months old because I have quite a few kids". "So I handed the phone to her and got the baby".

Her husband, Monte Campbell, who is a chiropractor, told the Times he called 911 and that when he was put on hold he decided to make sure it was a real baby and not a doll. The baby was later taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

"It just doesn't seem real".
