'Mighty Ducks' star Shaun Weiss arrested for public intoxication

Shaun was arrested for public intoxication

The actor who played Goldberg the goalie in The Mighty Ducks was arrested for public intoxication over the weekend in Northern California.

The 38-year-old former child star was arrested on Saturday around 12:47 a.m.in Oroville, California.

He was booked into the Butte County Jail.

Weiss, who was arrested on drug charges in 2017 days after being released for a separate crime, was released after a few hours.

This is the latest legal drama for Weiss.

Shaun Weiss was arrested for alleged public intoxication on Saturday morning.

That incident followed quickly on the heels of Weiss getting released from jail after stealing $151 worth of merchandise from an electronics store in LA. At the time, his manager, Don Gibble, told TMZ he had hoped jail would help Weiss get himself on a more productive path.

A representative for Weiss did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment. Here's a picture of him on set as a teenager from his Mighty Ducks days. "Hopefully he will stay clean and sober when he gets out".

Weiss has made multiple TV and movie appearances, including "Freaks and Geeks" and "Boy Meets World", but is best known for his role in "The Mighty Ducks" series. ABC Signature chief Tracy Underwood reportedly approached creator Steven Brill and producer Jordan Kerner about bringing back the story of a scrappy youth hockey team.
