Tekashi 6ix9ine Robbed and Kidnapped After Filming a New Video Shawn Grant

Tek went to Instagram Sunday (July 22) to speak on Sunday's headline-generating attack and likened the situation to last month's XXXTentacion murder robbery.

Sources told TMZ the 22-year-old Brooklyn-born rapper, whose birth name is Daniel Hernandez, was driving home after working on a music video in Brooklyn when a vehicle pulled up and blocked his driveway. As he was heading home, at around 4 o'clock in the morning, a vehicle pulled up and blocked his driveway and three people with hoods, holding guns, grabbed the Brooklyn rapper, pistol whipped him and dragged him into their auto.

The gunmen and Tekashi returned to the rapper's home and two of them reportedly ran through his home and took up to $750,000 jewelry and almost $20,000 in cash.

That's when three hooded gunmen pistol-whipped Tekashi, knocking him unconscious. 6ix9ine's daughter and her mother were in the house but were not harmed.

TMZ reports, citing unnamed sources, that the men stole around $750,000 in jewelry and more than $15,000 in cash.

We're told the gunmen took around $750k in jewelry and between $15k and $20k in cash.

The gunmen then drove away with 6ix9ine still in the backseat. One gunmen began chasing him but gave it up midway. The stranger called 911 - then promptly ask the roughed-up rapper to get out of the vehicle. The driver called the ambulance but asked Tekashi get out of the auto at an intersection.

TMZ reports that controversial NY rapper Tekashi69 was hospitalized today when unknown assailants apparently kidnapped him during a robbery attempt.

Hours before the alleged incident, 6ix9ine released a brand new song called "FEFE" featuring Nicki Minaj.
