Unai Emery says Jack Wilshere Arsenal decision was 'tactical and technical'

New Arsenal manager Unai Emery suggests that the club's transfer business could be over for this summer, unless a "big opportunity" arises.

"Normally we are thinking about the young players, the possibility to stay with us or go on loan to another team".

"We signed the players who we need, only if one player is a big opportunity for us to sign we can do it", he added.

So, it seems that Unai Emery isn't desperate for another signing but will certainly make a move if a player comes up.

"I am very happy with him".

"I know this player here is important for the supporters and grew up here in Arsenal, but I couldn't guarantee him a place in the starting 11 and because of that he choose to leave here and I respect this".

"The first two weeks for us is to start knowing the club, knowing the players, knowing all the people who are working with us".

Arsenal will be looking to at least break back into the top four next season as they look to bound back from their disappointing trophyless campaign under Arsene Wenger last season.

"Each coach needs to know the players", said the former Sevilla and Paris St-Germain boss. Every day every training session he is with the ambition I want.

'We want to keep the respect for these players and to find the captain'. "He is an important player for me".

Wilshere joined West Ham this week after turning down a new-contract offer at Arsenal, the club he spent 17 years at after joining the academy as a boy.

"Maybe it's not the right word to use, but it has turned into a bit of a hell, because I have started to feel more pressure". I want them to be protagonists in each match.

"This is one question for the player and for the club", he said during his press conference when asked why Ramsey hadn't put pen to paper.

"I want to work with Petr Cech, with Bernd Leno, with Emiliano Martinez, with Matt Macey, with Ospina", he said.
