Grayson Allen Headbutts Trae Young In Just His 2nd Summer League Game

During a rebuilding process like the one the New York Knicks are now in, one of the most exciting things is seeing younger players on the court.

On Thursday, the Utah Jazz rookie wasted no time getting into some controversy when he and Trae Young became entangled and had to be separated.

"I love the fact that he was aggressive", Utah summer league coach Mike Wells said, according to the Salt Lake Tribune's Kyle Good.

All 30 NMA teams are taking part in the Summer League this year for the first time.

The Knicks haven't made the playoffs since the 2012-13 campaign, and it is unrealistic to expect that to change this upcoming season given Porzingis' injury status, even if they are playing in an Eastern Conference no longer featuring LeBron James.

Wait, you say Twitter is still keenly aware of Allen's history of physical/dirty play at Duke?

"That's not the first time Grayson has gotten tangled up with someone", Young said after the game, "but it's not the first time and last time I'm going to get tangled up with someone". Baldwin IV is the offender in this play so that's why he got the boot.

The Knicks haven't had great performances during the Summer League in recent seasons, but this is a talented roster.

NY made a triumphant Las Vegas Summer League debut with a 91-89 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday, July 7.
