11 members of a family found dead in Delhi home

Police suspect they committed suicide after the family suffered financial losses in business

Police officer Vineet Kumar said all of the deceased belonged to a family and most had lived in one home in Burari village in the northern part of New Delhi.

The Delhi Police have rushed a team to the spot. and the investigation is on.

The bodies were found hanging, said the police.

Ten bodies were found hanging and blindfolded, while a 75-year-old woman's body was found on the floor, the police was quoted as saying by PTI.

The four men, three women and four girls were found hanging from an iron grill used as a ventilator in the courtyard. The family ran a grocery shop in outer Delhi's Burari area and plywood business in Sant Nagar.

According to reports, the family shop used to be open from 6AM in the morning. He alerted the other neighbours and informed the police. "We are trying to find out if it's a case of suicide pact or some foul play is involved behind the deaths", said the police officer.
