Top NBA Prospect Michael Porter Jr. Cancels Second Pro Day

Teams will be on hand for medical evaluations Friday afternoon. According to a source, Porter still may interview with interested teams on Friday, and there's a chance the workout could be rescheduled depending on how he responds to treatment.

Porter's camp appears to feel comfortable with his stock.

Porter could potentially rise even higher than that if workouts go well. Porter had to cancel an initial workout with hip spasms. He didn't submit to any medical tests at the NBA Draft Combine in mid-May.

Porter underwent back surgery in his first and only collegiate season, but has said "There's no risk to reinjure it".

Porter being considered as a top five pick truly displays the potential teams see in him, especially without proving himself to be a dominant college basketball player this past season. He was cleared to play just two weeks prior to his June 8 pro day. Bulls doctors performed the physical on Porter that was shared with all interested National Basketball Association teams because of the agency's longstanding relationship with the club and the proximity. While he reportedly felt only about 50 percent physically, he had a very impressive showing, according to multiple teams in attendance, shooting the ball exceptionally well.
