Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot

Wonder Woman had the best domestic gross of any DC Extended Universe film and - trumped by Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice - the second best global gross.

Last year Wonder Woman saw Gal Gadot's superhero fighting in World War I with Pine's Steve Trevor.

Filming on the sequel is officially underway, two first-look photos have been released and an official title has been announced.

Another new image released from "WW84" shows us Gadot as Wonder Woman, perhaps pondering who shot J.R. (Google it, kids) as she looks at multiple television screens bombarded with the brightness of the '80s.

He posted the first teaser of the film: just a still image, text on a black ground, saying only "WW84". At the end of the first Wonder Woman film, Trevor was killed off.

Wonder Woman 1984 is the follow up to the 2017 sensation that grossed $822 million at the box office and received widespread critical acclaim.

Does this mean that he is somehow back from the dead? There's a portion of the Wonder Woman Rebirth comic series that takes place in a mall with both Diana Prince and Cheetah, which seems to make sense with the new picture of Chris Pine taken within the mall.

Wonder Woman is coming to Virginia.

The 1984 setting of the next Wonder Woman movie was hinted at earlier this month by both Patty and Geoff Johns, the president of DC Entertainment. Gal Gadot obviously reprises her titular role, and Pedro Pascal also co-stars in the film.
