Atletico are still waiting on Griezmann making his decision to sign another new contract public, but the club do trust that he will once again commit his future to the Rojiblancos.

This news broke out after Antoine Griezmann made it clear that he had made a decision on his future but held it back stating "It's not the time or the place" for the big reveal.

Describing himself as "focused on the World Cup", Griezmann added: "I am happy and that's the most important thing now".

Lemar played a key role for Leonardo Jardim's young side as they ended Paris Saint-Germain's dominance by claiming the Ligue 1 title in impressive fashion in 2016-17.

Griezmann is looking to cap another spectacular club season, in which he scored 29 goals in 49 games as Atletico finished runners-up in La Liga behind Barcelona and lifted the UEFA Europa League.
