Griezmann: My Future Will Be Announced Next Week

Frank Leboeuf has his say about the future of Antoine Griezmann, saying he might be better suited for a move away from Spain.

Lemar is now away on global duty with France and both clubs will be keen to finalise the transfer before the start of the World Cup, which gets underway on Thursday.

France travel to the World Cup on the back of a surprising 1-1 draw with the US in Lyon on Saturday night, but Griezmann reckons there's no need for his teammates to panic, and says their preparation for Australia starts now.

Multiple people within Antoine Griezmann's inner circle say they want him to stay at Atletico Madrid rather than join Barcelona next season, sources close to the forward told ESPN FC's Julien Laurens. I have made my choice.

Griezmann revealed today he had decided where he will be playing next season but claimed it was not the right time or place to announce it.

According to reports, the 22-year-old will sign a two-year contract with Atletico, as they look to build upon last season's Europa League triumph.

France coach Didier Deschamps prohibits players from undergoing negotiations during tournaments, pushing Griezmann towards making a decision.

"It's good that you're taking an interest", Griezmann said after France's 1-1 friendly draw with the United States.

But last week Lionel Messi said he was sure he would link up well with Griezmann were he to move to the Camp Nou.

Barcelona are reportedly ready to trigger Griezmann's €100million release clause.
