Pochettino to hold talks over Spurs' future direction

Kyle Walker Peters commits to Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur coach, Mauricio Pochettino, has hinted that he may quit if the club fail to match his ambitions following another trophyless campaign.

Spurs sealed Champions League football for a third straight season by finishing third in the Premier League despite having reportedly just the sixth highest wage bill behind Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.

The 21-year-old made nine appearances for Mauricio Pochettino's men this season, scoring his first goal for the club in the 6-1 FA Cup win over Rochdale in February.

"You can not create dreams thinking you are not going to achieve these dreams".

"I think it's a moment the club needs to take risks and if possible work harder than the previous season to be competitive again".

Pochettino wants a £150m budget to improve Tottenham's squad. "Being in that senior working environment every day can only help you to get better and I think when I've been given my opportunities, I've been able to show my improvement and help the team to win games", Peters added.

He again reiterated his overall ambition for the N17 club to be contenders for "big, big trophies", but conceded now is the time to take risks. It's not important. The most important thing is what the club thinks, not you or the speculation about me, ' he said. Maybe you know me, sometimes I have insane ideas", said Pochettino with a laugh, before he continued: "You need to be courageous. That is a little bit up to Daniel of course and up to the club to agree with us.

"Together we need to feel we are a special club".

"I repeat from my last press conference - today, 100% I feel that I am here", he said.

"I have a contract and I respect my contract", Puel told reporters. You need to be courageous.
