Pokémon GO Fest 2018 And Safari Zone 2018 Announced

Pokémon GO Fest and Safari Zone 2018

A Pokemon Go event that left attendees dissatisfied past year is returning to Chicago with organizers proclaiming they have learned their lesson. The studio has announced a summer tour for 2018.

Niantic says each event will "include unique ways for players around the world to create adventures of their own and complete challenges together".

While the event originally took place at Grant Park last year, this year's version will be located at Lincoln Park.

The company has announced three events, in Dortmund, Germany; Chicago; and Yokosuka, Japan. The biggest North American event will back with a brand-new look. 1st July, hosted in the city of Dortmund, Germany, a Safari Zone event will take place in Westfalenpark - one of the largest inner-city parks in Europe full of playgrounds for kids and families.

Although the last Pokemon GO Fest was a total fiasco due to major connectivity issues that prevented players from catching their favorite Pokemon, Niantic is ready to try again.

Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS devices. Unlike the Chicago event, Dortmund's will be free. However, there are not many details on the Japanese event yet.

We cringe when we remember what happened to the last Pokemon GO Festival that Niantic put up. Each day will also have the same experience, so attendees won't need to worry about getting tickets to both daus.

We've been so inspired by the spirit and dedication of Trainers who have come to our events throughout Asia. There will be additional activities spread throughout the entire city district of Dortmund, though like Pokemon Go Fest this year, we don't know what kinds of things there'll be for trainers to do.
