Kanye West teases new album and Kid Cudi collaboration

As West noted, he'll release his eighth full-length studio album on June 1st. That'll be followed up by an album featuring Kid Cudi a week later on the 8th.

While this is the first time West has addressed his new music, there's already loads of hype surrounding the rumored album. And after almost a year of silence, boy, does he have a lot to say.

We got Kanye leaving his office in Calabasas with "The Breakfast Club" host Wednesday night, and asked if the 2 listened to Ye's new - and highly anticipated - album.

The two then seemed to signal that there was no ill will between them as they hugged at the end of the surprise performance. Music boss appeared on stage with the Cleveland rapper at an NBA All-Star event. Now im your threat'. Both stars are part of West's record label Good Music.

In June of past year, Steve Bartels, then-CEO of West's label Def Jam, told Variety that the MC doesn't necessarily keep the label apprised of what he's doing.

Mr. West, you officially have the floor.

Nevertheless, this is some exciting news for all the G.O.O.D.

The reveal arrives after the rapper has been live-tweeting a philosophy book that is set to be called Break the Simulation.

But probably the best news that he could share with us is that his next album is coming soon - on June 1, to be exact.
