Eagles' Daryl Worley arrested, allegedly was passed out in auto and tased

Former Panthers CB Daryl Worley arrested by Philadelphia police

Worley was found passed out behind the wheel when officers arrived, the source says.

The Eagles confirmed his arrest, saying in a statement that they were "gathering more information".

Worley reportedly resisted arrest and fought with police before being tased by officers and taken into custody.

Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley was arrested in South Philadelphia on Sunday morning. That's when police arrived and a confrontation unfolded, according to the report. Law enforcement administered a taser on Worley and recovered a gun at the scene.

In college, Worley pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault over an incident involving a woman at a night club.

The incident reportedly occurred near the Eagles team facility around 6 a.m. ET.

Worley, who was drafted by the Panthers in the third round of the 2016 draft, had two interceptions and 49 tackles for Carolina last season.

The Eagles traded wide receiver Torrey Smith for Worley in March. Even better, Worley was returning home to Philly, where his parents still live in their same North Philadelphia neighborhood where he grew up.
