Rashid says close victory a wake-up call for Sunrisers

We're already a week into the 11 edition of the Indian Premier League and yet, certain styles of playing patterns can be attributed to all the franchises.

Like in the loss against Chennai Super Kings, it was yet again Mayank Markande, the previously unheard of legspinner, who brought Mumbai into the game.

The official Twitter handle of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) congratulated Rashid Khan after winning the Man of the Match award last night.

MI have been undefeated against DD in their last three encounters.

Among players with at least 600 career IPL runs, Andre Russell's Smart Strike Rate of 220.40 is, by far, the best.

Wickets fell consistently for the visitors, who limped to 8-147 from their 20 overs led by 29 from West Indian batsman Evin Lewis.

Veteran Karnataka seamer R Vinay Kumar was particularly poor, failing to defend 17 runs in the final over of the game.

The former Zimbabwe skipper also hinted that Aussie seamer Mitchell Johnson could return after being rested in the last game due to a niggle.

The Delhi bowlers have also been below par and need to get their act together to register a win. Amit Mishra and Jayant Yadav are good bowling options with Nepal teenager Sandeep Lamichanne to back the experienced spinners.

"We should have won that match comfortably like we did it in the first match".

Stanlake, Sandeep Sharma and Siddarth Kaul all took two wickets, while Adelaide Strikers teammate Rashid Khan proved impossible to get away with an astonishing 18 dot balls from his four-over spell. In this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Mumbai Indians by one wicket. But things just didn't go SRH's way. Morris too had been costly with ball in both the games.

Deepak Hooda finished on 32 not out off 25 balls for the Sunrisers and saw them home. The last ball can go either way so it was nice to win.

IPL 2018, Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. There's a trifle chance of a thundershower in the afternoon, but that shouldn't be much of a worry. The Team Hyderabad has +1.771 points and leading in the 2nd position of IPL Point level by 12.4.2018. West Indian Javon Searles had his first long training session on tour, on Friday, and did enough to keep everyone guessing about KKR's pace combination.

Thanks to Rashid, Sunrisers were able to restrict Mumbai to a modest total of 147/8. "As the tournament progresses, we look forward to delivering even greater all-round value to all stakeholders", he added. In overs 1.2 Rohit Sharma hit Billy Stanlake over backward square leg for first six of the innings hereMI 7/0.In overs 2 Shakib Al Hasan took a good catch as Billy Stanlake got rid of Rohit Sharma (11) here MI 11/1.
