Decapitated body of abducted Hajin youth recovered

Hajin abduction

According to sources, the LeT claimed the deceased to be a police informer. "Manzoor [Bhat] was abducted by militants affiliated to the Lashkar-e-Taiba after they barged into the house of Abdul Gaffar Bhat [Manzoor's father] and assaulted those inside", the police statement said. "The body of Manzoor Ahmed Bhat, who was abducted by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists on the intervening night of April 4 and 5, was found on the outskirts of Hajin early today (Friday)", the spokesperson added. On Monday too the terrorists had stormed into the house of Farooq Ahmad Parrey and started firing randomly. But the gunmen took his son with him and subsequently murdered him.

This is the second civilian killing in Hajin this week.

The headless body of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, 25, a resident of Hajin, "was found at an orchard in Bonmohalla in Hajin" in the morning. The police is on the lookout for the terrorist and further investigations are being conducted in the case.

Police said local terrorist Mohommad Saleem Parrey is believed to have played a major role in the killing of the local innocent youth. SSP Bandipora Zulfikar told Mirror that they have recovered the body with throat slit at Bon Mohalla Hajin. A spokesman of the police said on Saturday that the six boys intending to join militancy were counselled with the help of family members and subsequently handed over to their parents.
