Dad forces son to run in the rain for bullying

Bryan Thornhill has been praised on social media for taking a tough stance after his son 10 got into trouble for bullying

Bryan Thornhill, from the USA state of Virginia, has filmed his 10-year-old son running to school in the rain after he was banned from the bus for "bullying".

He added, "Therefore, he has to now run to school, we're right about one mile from the school so all week he's got the experience of running".

The boy's father made him run to school as punishment.

"The good news is he keeps up a pretty good mile pace, six miles an hour so far".

But others questioned Thornhill's real motivations and wondered if the boy would get sick after running for so long in the rain.

"Since he's been running to school this week his behaviour's been much better, his teachers have approved of his behaviour", he said. "This right here is called parenting".

He finished the video by saying: 'Teach your kids, don't be a friend, be a parent.

"Wow I just watched this video and can not agree with this form of punishment for a child on this day". The video garnered over 190,000 views at the time of publishing this story.

Bryan Thornhill filmed the punishment from his vehicle as he drove alongside his son, posting the live footage to his Facebook profile. It's the same in our house too.

"I bet you this kid grows up to understand actions and consequences, but more importantly, respect for others", on Facebooker said. Good old fashion discipline and consequences. The boy leaves his dad far behind.

"They need parents to be supportive when they make mistakes and to take a practical role in teaching their children how to behave more respectfully". "Being single mother of 4 boys and trying to raise them the be a positive person in this insane world, I know personally how hard it is to raise children.I think what you did was AWESOME". "Not good for a child's back at all", one commenter wrote. "Read a parenting book dude!"

"This ain't killing nobody - this is a healthy way for a child to be punished". You should be ashamed as a father. "Because it's exercise, something that a lot of people don't think children should do anymore, so you just stick them behind a damn Xbox for the rest of their lives".
