TCL Debuts Alto Roku Smart Sound Bar

TCL 6-series Roku TV promises great picture for a low price

Besides TCL, Roku TVs will also get a flurry of brand new features that will wow the crowds at the CES 2018. TCL says that it has also been able to achieve a greater peak brightness than the P series. At CES 2018 today, the company unveiled the first fruit of its efforts to the public. The new 6-Series and 5-Series are Roku UHD TVs that support Dolby Vision HDR.

As for the 5 Series, it will be replacing the S series of televisions which the company now has. Following the P6 Series in 2017, the novel 5 Series will come into view soon.

Other features that span the series include 802.11ac WiFi, Ethernet, a trio of HDMI 2.0a ports, wide color with NBP Photon tech, and what TCL describes as an "advanced remote". Powerful picture performance is complemented by the Roku OS with the most streaming content available and seamless access your cable box, Blu-ray player, gaming console, and other devices without flipping through inputs or complicated menus.

The brand has switched to a matte metal design, and aside from the 55-inch model, there's also a 65-inch model now. This range will have Televisions from 43-inch onwards and will support HDR, 4K Ultra HD resolution, Roku OS and Dolby Vision. And no matter what environment this TCL model is placed in, from a dim home theater to a sun-lit living room, details remain visible with HDR Pro Gamma's tone map that accurately reproduces every detail within the darkest and brightest scenes.

The Chinese TV manufacturer had a successful year in 2017, releasing several excellent Roku TV models at competitive price points that put the company in the spotlight of a stage that is only getting more and more crowded. And, with more than 500,000 streaming movies and TV episodes, plus the best selection of music, sports, news, and more, TCL Roku TV is the flawless addition to any home theater.

TCL is an exceptional Roku TV partner and a natural fit to be the first partner to plan to build a smart soundbar under our new licensing program. "TCL is also excited to introduce the Alto Smart Soundbar with Roku Entertainment Assistant". The Smart Soundbar will be part of TCL's new Alto line of audio products. It will feature integration with Roku Connect and Roku Entertainment System, allowing your TV to be controlled by voice commands.
