Man Attacks Harvey Weinstein in Restaurant

Movie producer Harvey Weinstein, who was sacked from The Weinstein October following reports that documented decades of sexual harassment and allegations of rape and abuse, was slapped by a patron at an Arizona restaurant Tuesday night.

According to TMZ, a man approached Weinstein and asked to take a photo with him after expressing that he enjoyed his movies. Although the restaurant manager says Steve's hands never landed on Weinstein's face, you clearly see and hear Steve make contact twice, as he calls Weinstein "a piece of s***".

Steve also informed the celebrity gossip website that he had "quite a bit to drink" before he went up to Weinstein.

The video, acquired and discharged by TMZ, indicates Weinstein requesting that the companion not film him, while the calm mentor tries to hinder the camera.

Around 9 p.m., as Weinstein and his sober coach prepared to leave the restaurant, it just so happened Steve and his friend were on their way out as well, and Steve used that opportunity to do something for the culture. Weinstein declined an offer to call police, no doubt wanting to avoid any kind of press whatsoever, and all parties were said to have left the restaurant.

Original reports stated that Weinstein had been punched in the face.

Back in October, TMZ reported that Weinstein flew from Los Angeles to Arizona for treatment in an inpatient program. The deal was reportedly finalized late a year ago, and they are expected to file court documents this week.

Since that time, dozens of women have come forward to share their stories of abuse allegedly at the hands of Weinstein. Weinstein has denied all the claims.
