Have you ever tried an Honor-branded smartphone?

Honor says it's using 3D face detection in its new phone, but didn't say how it's doing this with just a single front-facing camera.

The Honor V10 was launched in China a week ago, and now, Honor's back with the launch of the Honor View 10, the worldwide variant of the V10.

The Honor 7X is the first X series smartphone from Honor to feature a Full View display.

The View 10 utilises a Kirin 970 to bring Artificial Intelligence to the consumer, recognising different scenes when taking photos, translating different languages in real time without an internet connection and learning the users behaviours.

Billed as "your first AI phone", the V10 employs an NPU (neural processing unit), which in addition to the usual combo of processor and graphics processing unit (GPU), can greatly increase the speed of image-based computation. Together with 6GB + 128GB memory and EMUI 8.0, it unleashes awesome processing power in multi-tasking environment and gaming.

On the outside, the Honor View 10 is a mash-up of countless other Huawei and Honor designs.

The dual camera on the Honor V10 pairs a 16MP sensor with a 20MP one. This device will be available in Europe (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Ukraine and Turkey), Russia, United States, Middle East (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Iran), India and Malaysia.

The displays of the three smartphone vary a bit, while the Honor 7X features a 5.93-inch full HD+ display, with an aspect ratio of 18:9, topped with a 2.5D glass.

The internal specs are where the difference between the two phones, Honor 6x and 7x is seen.

Regarding performance, the Honor 7X packs in Huawei's mid-range Kirin 659 octa-core SoC that houses eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores.

Honor announced two new technologies to enhance facial information capture and music entertainment that excite and inspire the young generation. Honor calls its camera setup (which consists of multiple sensors not visible externally) as the Point Cloud Depth Camera.
