Four dead after crash in Wexford between lorry and auto

Collision occurred on main New Ross to Wexford road

The collision occurred on the N25 New Ross to Ballinaboola road at Begerin Hill (approximately 2-3 miles from Ballinaboule).

Mrs Keevey was buried yesterday afternoon after a funeral mass in St Mary's Church in Cushinstown, not far from the crash site.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area given the road closure and the lengthy diversions in place.

Two others died before they could be transferred to University Hospital Waterford (UHW).

It is understood one of the victims of last night's crash in Co Wexford was an American police officer.

Gardaí, New Ross Fire Brigade and a fleet of ambulances raced to the scene to assist the injured.

The driver was treated at the scene for severe shock.
