De Gea 'best in world' as United beat Arsenal 3-1

Wenger refused to follow Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino's lead and rule his team out of the Premier League title race even though they are fifteen points behind leaders Manchester City.

Lingard is among those to have paid tribute to the 27-year-old, with one of the most consistent performers in the business now considered to also be one of the best.

"He is very frustrated because everybody knows that Paul is a clean player and it was not his intention, not at all, to be close to a red card".

Paul Pogba was spotted hugging Mesut Ozil in the Emirates tunnel in the moments leading up to Manchester United's 3-1 victory over Arsenal.

Whilst Pogba has improved immensely in Manchester United's midfield, both personally and collectively, the French midfielder also brings other qualities to the club.

"I think that was the most important save but, like I said, the full team defended very well and fought for the three points".

"They had chances but we fought and we have a great goalkeeper too. A bit disappointed with this colleague, Koscielny, with this kind of reaction", Mourinho said.

Before welcoming City to Old Trafford, United have a midweek Champions League fixture to contend with. "That's very hard to accept".

"We are second and are chasing the top of the table". Arsenal played in some period incredible attacking football - creating difficulties for us.

David de Gea's lightning reflexes have been beyond doubt for some time now but with Arsenal's shot-count hitting 15 on target, it was clear when all was said and done who José Mourinho's side were indebted to.

Arsenal boss Wenger added: 'He is an outstanding goalkeeper, I don't want to take anything away from him. "David was awesome. When they had the two or three clear chances David was there so we are very happy".
