WhatsApp Introduces PiP Mode: Apple Users Can Watch YouTube Videos Within App

WhatsApp may add some new features in the app for iOS

The app is a lightweight version of YouTube and allows users to download videos and watch them later in areas with either low or no data network.

There is some good news for people in Indonesia and India who use the YouTube Go Beta app, a stable and publicly released version is available now, which doesn't carry the Beta tag.

Apart from watching videos offline the feature-rich app also allows users to share the downloaded videos with their friends nearby using Bluetooth. The feature let users lock the button while recording the message. This latest update also lets you record long audio messages. Additionally, the company has rolled out a new feature to lock recording, which enables users to record without pressing the button down. However, the option is disabled now and expected to go online in few days. Now WhatsApp users can swipe up to lock recording. Even recently, the autocomplete search result feature of YouTube was suggesting disturbing search terms to users, about that YouTube apologized. Well, chances are that the WhatsApp is rolling out the feature in a phased manner - and you'll get the app eventually - probably in the next couple of days. WhatsApp was extensively working on this idea and investigating ways to make watching YouTube videos within its chat-app.

The update certainly helps in terms convenience as you no longer have to go back and forth switching between apps to watch videos. The recent update of WhatsApp has also allowed group administrators to exercise more control over their chat groups, by limiting group chat feature to certain group member and preventing other administrators from deleting the group creator.

Meanwhile, reports are also such that WhatsApps is preparing to bring another feature with which a user will be able to switch between voice and video calls simultaneously.
