Taylor Swift's 'Reputation' Sells 717000 Copies in US on its First Day

Whether viewers were Ready For It or not, Taylor Swift returned to Studio 8H this weekend.

"A day after releasing Reputation, Taylor Swift appeared as musical guest on Saturday Night Live, where the singer served up the live debut of "... That puts Swift on track to sell more than 1 million records in the record's first week - and potentially become the year's best-selling album in just one week. It is followed by "End Game", her collaboration with fellow musician Ed Sheeran and rapper Future, and the unflinching "I Did Something Bad".

"Reputation" is also an obvious lock for #1 on the Billboard 200, which will account for the sum of album sales, as well as TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) for the four songs that are available for individual consumption. "Absence only makes the heart grow fonder, though, and Swift crushed her performance last night. The pop star fully embraced her "New Taylor" persona, wearing an edgy all-black outfit, complete with shorts, a crop top, and a snake-adorned microphone as she sang ".Ready for It?".

With "Call It What You Want", Swift ditched the choreography and sat down with her guitar.

Grievances to the phone call controversy with Kanye and Kim Kardashian West are aired during "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things".
