Samsung Galaxy A5 with Infinity Display coming

Galaxy S9 will not include in-display fingerprint scanner

Now, the entry-level Galaxy J3 (2018) is listed on GFXbench revealing few key specifications.

Should Samsung launch a under 5-inch Infinity Display smartphone?

Evidence of the Infinity Display comes from HTML5 tests; the handset is listed as the Samsung SM-A530F, and its benchmark shows a screen resolution of 412 x 846, which is unfortunately much lower than previously leaked. Just yesterday, the Galaxy A5 (2018) is spotted on the HTML5test website. However, the processor is mentioned to come coupled with the powerful Mali G71 GPU. The phone was found to be running Android 7.1.1 Nougat though, instead of the Android 8.0 Oreo update.

Apart from that, the GFX listing also reveals that the phone will come with all the necessary sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope and proximity sensor and other features like Bluetooth, GPS, and WiFi. Moreover, the camera does not support HDR as well.

In the camera department, there is an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. However, the rumor mill is silent on the existence of Galaxy A3 (2018).

It also includes an accelerometer, e-compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensors. It also offered Exynos 7570 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.

There's one odd thing about the new phone, according to the listing, it will come with an 8 MP back camera whereas the last year's J3 had a better, 13 MP rear camera. The Galaxy J3 (2017) was introduced later in India with better specs.

The smartphone is backed by a 2,400mAh battery and lacks fast charging technology. This patent application by Samsung could perhaps shed some light – it details the operation of a foldable, dual-screen phone.
