A video has just arrived from TMZ Sports showing McGregor jumping back onto the cage wall after exiting it following the outright wacky scene to slap a security guard instructing him to cool it.

It wouldn't be like the Notorious to sit quietly and take in the action though, he's the talk of the event despite the fact he's not even fighting.

The UFC superstar was at Bellator 187 in Dublin watched training partner Charlie Ward fight when all hell broke loose.

Conor McGregor and Marc Goddard are making a late run at MMA's best rivalry in 2017. It wasn't the first incident involving McGregor and Goddard.

McGregor then appears to push the referee while launching into a rant against him as he is restrained.

When Goddard told McGregor to get out of the octagon - the doctors and cornermen of the defeated fighter had not yet entered - McGregor went after him, pushed him, and shouted abuse in the well-respected referee's direction.

At UFC Gdansk, Goddard was forced to warn McGregor for attempting to coach Lobov from the crowd during his unanimous decision loss to Andre Fili.

For the second time in less than a month, Conor McGregor and referee Marc Goddard had issues with each other during an global fight card.

As the Dubliner climbed back onto the side of the arena an official came over to stop him and McGregor looked to have responded by slapping him in the head.

While the matchup seems to be made, negotiations are in place with McGregor's team and the UFC.
