Roy Price Resigns From Amazon Studios Following Sexual Harassment Allegations

Amazon Studios head Roy Price has resigned amid a sexual harassment claim from an employee

As Amazon Studios began executing on Bezos' mandate this summer, Price became the subject of sexual harassment allegations first reported on business website The Information in August.

Albert Cheng, the studio's chief operating officer, has been named interim head of Amazon Studios.

Price didn't respond to a request for comment Tuesday.

Isa Hackett, an EP on Amazon's "Man in the High Castle", told the Hollywood Reporter that Price, 51, propositioned her in a taxi, telling her that she would "love (his) d-k".

The news comes after Price was placed on a "on leave of absence effective immediately". Earlier this week Page Six reported that Price's fiancée, the playwright Lila Feinberg, has called off their November wedding.

The difference last week was that Hackett gave Masters an on-the-record interview with details about the incident.

Hackett's allegations follow multiple complaints of sexual harassment and assault lodged against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. He said it hadn't been proven. That business has since grown into a vibrant original-series and feature-film studio, with Price at the helm. "I said I was the proof", she wrote.

The actors and Russell said they agreed with Amazon Studios to stop work on the untitled series that was being produced by The Weinstein Co.
