Aside from Beckham, the Giants also had to finish the game without wide receivers Dwayne Harris (broken foot), Sterling Shepard (ankle) and Brandon Marshall (ankle).

Watt suffered a tibial plateau fracture to end his season early for the second straight year.

The 0-5 Giants announced Monday that Beckham will have surgery to fix the ankle this week.

Marshall was one of four Giants wide receivers knocked out of Sunday's game. Not only did they drop to 0-5 but they lost nearly all of their wide receivers to serious injuries.

Beckham's injury occurred in the same area where he suffered a high ankle sprain on August 21.

Beckham, Shepard and Marshall have accounted for 47.4 percent of the receptions, 53.7 percent of the passing yardage and 50 percent of the passing touchdowns the Giants have accumulated this year. He left the game on a cart at MetLife Stadium.

The Giants want Beckham to be a Giant for life - co-owner John Mara has declared this desire, more than once.

Marshall, who is now on his second team in the NY area, has matriculated into the media as well during the latter stages of his career, working on "Inside the NFL", Showtime's popular weekly series. He finished the game with five catches, a season-high 97 receiving yards and one touchdown against the Chargers.

Today the team brought up Florida State rookie Travis Rudolph from their practice squad. Coach Sean McDermott said Clay will miss "multiple weeks". He registered 25 catches for 302 yards and three scores.
