England may have successfully secured qualification for next summer's World Cup in Russian Federation with a late, Harry Kane inspired victory against Slovakia on Thursday night, but Gareth Southgate's team have still been far from convincing with many of their recent displays.

Kane has all the tools to become a Tottenham and Premier League legend-even Alan Shearer's record of 260 goals does not appear to be off-limits-but a player of his calibre may well get the opportunity to play for one of Europe's elite at some point down the line.

Having failed to land Kylian Mbappe during last summer's transfer window, Real Madrid are aware that they should sign a superstar next year and two of the names on their list of potential Galactico signings are Tottenham's Harry Kane and Del Alli.

Giggs said: 'Yes [it's disappointing] when you fall underneath the quality you have shown at your club which these England players have.

'You see Kyle Walker, Dele Alli playing well for their clubs.

Matt Law writes: 'Spurs are now preparing a new contract offer and believe they can reach an agreement before he formally changes agent, which might not be until after the World Cup.

However, Sport says that Barcelona believe that he could adapt to a deeper role as the former MK Dons star played in the middle of the park during his early days at White Hart Lane.

"The most pressure these guys get is when they play for England".

'Apart from Rashford, everyone else looks petrified'. When I played midfield, the first thing I thought about was passing forward. Are the likes of Alli and Walker letting their country down? Let us know in the comments section below.
