The movie - starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in lead roles - will release on December 1.

Definitely among the most anticipated films of the year, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmavati" has been in the news ever since its announcement.

Deepika as Rani Padmini, Shahid as Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer as Sultan Alauddin Khilji will leave you wanting more.

The actress will be seen spearheading Sanjay Leela Bhansali's periodic drama that will feature an ensemble cast.

Padmavati trailer will be revealed today at 13.03 (12 Hour Format - 1.03pm). Ranveer Singh's slashing entry into a room full of birds kept in cage sets his character in place and the way he wave his hair to wear his crown, is a thing to be missed in the Padmavati trailer.

The three-minute long trailer video opens on a grand canvas showcasing the vast expanse of Chittor's fort and moves to handsome, love-filled visuals of Rani Padmavati (Deepika) and Ratan Singh (Shahid).

The movie "Padmavati" will be based on the life of the ruthless Alauddin Khilji and on his attempts to get the handsome Rani Padmini of Chittor. Trade analyst, Ramesh Bala, who shared the trailer release update on Twitter says that it was in 1303 that Alauddin Khilji and King of Chittor faced off. The film also stars Raza Murad and Aditi Rai Hydari.

Deepika Padukone looks elegant and suits the role of a princess in the trailer. Given that the story of Padmavati is on Alauddin Khilji's siege of Chittorgarh, we can rest assured that Bhansali won't disappoint us on that front. Shahid Kapoor has been apt but it is Ranveer Singh who steals the show. Padmavati was the queen of Chittor and she is believed to have killed herself rather than letting Khilji capture her. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's last film had a mighty impact on people.
