New York Giants annouce WR Odell Beckham Jr. has fractured ankle

A bad 2017 season continues to get worse for the Giants.

Beckham was carted off, tears flowing as the Giants' 0-4 season could be over already.

Eli Manning fumbled on the next play and Los Angeles turned that turnover into a score three plays later.

A source told ESPN that Beckham will undergo surgery to fix the injury.

WR MISERY: Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Brandon Marshall left the game on the same second-quarter series with sprained left ankles. The Chargers, though, scored the final 10 points of the first half on a 6-yard touchdown pass to Gordon and a 20-yard field goal with six seconds left. But for the Giants and and OBJ, an already disastrous season just got much more disastrous.

Taylor Rooks‏ tweeted: "Brutal game for Giants".

Shepard (ankle) was ruled out of Sunday's contest versus the Chargers.

He had five receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown before exiting.

Marshall attempted to make a catch deep down the right sideline and hurt his left leg when he came down awkwardly out of bounds.
