Las Vegas Shooter Booked Hotel Rooms Overlooking Lollapalooza

Vegas killer booked two rooms overlooking Lollapalooza this summer

Paddock, who officials believe had an escape planned, fatally shot himself as a SWAT team descended on his hotel room.

TMZ, a US celebrity news website, reported Thursday that Stephen Paddock, the Las Vegas gunman, booked two rooms on the park side of the Blackstone Hotel with a clear view of the Lollapalooza, which drew hundreds of thousands of music fans every year at Grant Park in Chicago.

"You got to make the assumption he had to have some help at some point". There is now no known threat to the Metro Boston Homeland Security Region related to this incident.

The manager agreed, noting on Paddock's reservation that he should be placed in a room overlooking the park.

TMZ revealed that the man booked two rooms-as he did in Vegas-at the Blackstone, a luxury hotel on Chicago's tony S. Michigan Ave.

Hundreds of thousands attended the August music festival at Chicago's Grant Park, including Malia Obama, the former president's daughter.

The hotel spokesperson says Paddock never checked in for the reservation.

McMahill said investigators had reviewed voluminous video from the casino and don't think Paddock had an accomplice in the shooting, but they want to know if anyone knew about his plot beforehand. Which is to wonder what ultimately inspired Paddock wasn't so much ideology (that normally identifies a terrorist who victimizes on principle) but rather size and massive impact.

Did Stephen Craig Paddock have an accomplice?

Paddock had a girlfriend, Marilou Danvers, but they were not married. "And the hotel had a bird's-eye view of the crowd".

The Las Vegas gunman who carried out the deadliest mass shooting in recent US history also had scouted possible locations in Chicago and Boston, US media reported Thursday.

Authorities reconstructing Paddock's movements say he booked rooms overlooking the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago in August and the Life Is Beautiful show near the Vegas Strip in late September.

Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo said in a news conference Wednesday evening that Paddock had previously stayed at a Las Vegas high-rise condo during a music festival the weekend before the shooting.

The first room was rented from Sept. 17 to 22, the second from Sept. 21 to 23 and the third from Sept. 24 to 28.

Paddock successfully managed to hit the tanks, but failed to penetrate them during the massacre on Sunday. Paddock had also taken his own life.
