Microsoft introduces Edge browser for Android and iOS along with Microsoft Launcher

Microsoft Edge is online for Android phones

Reliance on Safari and Chrome Technologies The new Edge apps use the core rendering technologies of Apple and Google's browsers, rather than Microsoft's EdgeHTML rendering technology, Lyndersay indicated.

Skype version for iOS, Android, Linux, Mac, and Windows Desktop features these updates in Preview form (as I understand it), and the UWP app for Windows 10 S devices and Mobile phones will get this changes sometime soon. You can also save web pages on Edge for mobile to open them anywhere later, including a PC.

Microsoft Edge is a web browser from Microsoft that has replaced the older Internet Explorer. When Microsoft released Windows 10, the company made it a bit hard for the users to change the default browser and also promoted Edge browser inside the operating system. If you are on Android, you will need to head over to the Microsoft website in order to sign up to have access to the preview version once it launches. 'And - just like on Windows 10 - with Microsoft Launcher you can put icons of your favorite people right on the home screen so they're quickly and easily available'. The Edge browser for iOS is available for preview under Apple's TestFlight and is limited to 10,000 users.

On Microsoft Edge, passwords and favourites are synced across your devices, so your browser is always personalised. In their place, Skype would simply show you as active to others while you were using the app. Earlier today we saw Microsoft Edge coming to the platform too. This includes things liken Reading List, your favourites and more.

Both previews are restricted to U.S. English language testers right now.

You can download the Microsoft Launcher (Arrow launcher) from here; it's in beta stage thou.

Android tablets and iPad support is also going to be left out in the beginning.

Microsoft tweeted about the development and also made a blog post.

Those who are on the Arrow Launcher beta will automatically get the Microsoft Launcher because the latter is the newest incarnation of the former. We think it's the most lovely (based on Fluent design), customizable, powerful launcher available.
