Capcom Officially Announces Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition is probably real, now that Amazon has a page for it

Capcom has been rumored to announce a new downloadable content (DLC) character, a new game mode and different stages for "Street Fighter V". If you've been spectating from the sidelines or are waiting for a reason to join the fight, now is the time!

Capcom has announced Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition, compiling the popular fighter and all its DLC into one complete package.

From the beginning, we promised that you'll only need to purchase the original Street Fighter V, which we're sticking to. Additionally, every character in the game will be augmented with a second V-Trigger, which is a huge change.

PS4 and PC Cross-Platform Play: Current players of Street Fighter V and future owners of Street Fighter V: ArcadeEdition will be placed into the same player pool, with PS4 and PC cross-platform play continuing to unite fans into a unified player base. We will keep you updated on Street Fighter V Arcade Edition as soon as possible, so stay tuned for all the latest news. According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, the V-Triggers are a new, secondary one added to each character that will be chosen pre-match.

Mere hours ago, Capcom confirmed the existence of the Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition.

Some of these new features were already revealed earlier today when Amazon listed the game on their website.

So should you be angry at Capcom for seemingly going back on its promise and releasing an Arcade Edition version of the game?

The biggest of these features is the long-awaited addition of an arcade mode to the game.

This is all to say that while Street Fighter V certainly wasn't a bad outing for the series, there were certainly elements of the game's development and launch that could have gone better.

"Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition" will have new V-trigger moves for each character in it.
