Lakers and Clippers unveil Nike's NBA Statement Edition uniforms in Los Angeles

Cleveland Cavaliers Alternate Goodyear Jersey

Although first looks at individual team jerseys have been revealed since July, Nike and the National Basketball Association officially unveiled the jersey on Friday night (Sept. 15), introducing new innovations and a new look.

Julius Randle represented the Los Angeles Lakers wearing a purple uniform.

The new uniforms will be worn for the first time on November 24, when the team takes on the Charlotte Hornets in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers will unveil one more new uniform to complete the entire new look.

With one more jersey yet to be revealed, Nike and the Heat could be waiting till the very last moment to surprise fans with something truly new.

While connecting fans to real-time data about their favorite players is a great way for Nike to deliver content to customers, the real value for Nike in this program is an expansion of their business analytics. The hook is the ability to unlock "premium content" like "pregame arrival footage, highlight packages and top players' favorite music playlists". Throughout the season, a wealth of exclusive offers and experiences will bring fans closer to the game they love. "These jerseys become available online globally on September 29, rewarding the game's fans with a revolutionary experience that creates a new point of connection between fans and the game".
