The Spokesman-Review reports that people on call were at Freeman High School in Rockford on Wednesday morning.

Armed with a pistol and rifle, classmates say the shooter's face "was passive" in the hallway of a high school in a tiny Washington state town. Spokane Public Schools said on Twitter that all schools in the area are "being put into adjusted lockdown as a prudent step". They were reported in stable condition at a local hospital.

Following the shooting at the school of 327 students, some parents abandoned their cars stuck in traffic and walked up to a mile to reach their children, KHQ-TV reported.
