How to Replace David Johnson

DJ Foster

Cardinals' head coach Bruce Arians said Johnson dislocated his left wrist in the team's 35-23 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Sunday.

Johnson sustained the injury Sunday in the Cardinals' loss to the Lions. He was slow to get up after taking a big hit against the Detroit Lions, but he walked off the field under his own power. The next and final time he touched the ball he fumbled at the Arizona 10-yard line to set up a Lions touchdown.

Foster, 23, has had very limited opportunity in his two years with the Patriots, as he's accumulated just 24 yards on seven carries in three National Football League games. His best game against the 49ers came during an October 6 matchup in Santa Clara when Johnson averaged 5.8 yards per carry on his way to 157 yards and two touchdowns. He was diagnosed with a sprained wrist and underwent further testing Monday. While McCoy rumbled to 110 rushing yards and 49 receiving yards on 27 total touches, Tolbert received 13 touches, tallying 54 yards and a touchdown in the Bills opener. Losing David Johnson obviously deals a huge blow to Arizona's offense, but the Cardinals will still hope to be competitive in spite of the injury. He is the Cardinals' second-string running back and the team's main return man on special teams.

The Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly fear Tuitt suffered a season-ending biceps injury in the team's Week 1 win against the Cleveland Browns.

The news on David Johnson certainly isn't good.

Kerwynn Williams, Andre Ellington and Elijah Penny are the remaining running backs on the Arizona roster. "It's one of those things ... we'll wait until we get back".
