The company wants to cater to the Chinese and Indian audience by bringing in a laptop that would openly compete Apple's own Macbook Pro.

The Mi Notebook Pro as of now looks like a China-only product, just like the Mi Notebook Air. The Xiaomi Notebook Pro comes out in three variants. There is no word right now whether the Notebook Pro will launch in the global markets or not hence, how much of a threat the Xiaomi laptop will be to the MacBook Pro is yet to be seen. The direct competitor to MacBook Pro, the new Notebook Pro is the device that you had been expecting from Xiaomi. For gamers, this means the Mi Notebook Pro is capable of some light gaming.

The company has introduced this new generation laptops via their official Twitter handle with a few images of this stunning Mi Notebook Pro laptop. The laptop weighs 1.9kg.

NOT content to fight in the smartphone wars, Beijing-headquartered Xiaomi has issued a challenge to Apple with the introduction of its new Mi Notebook Pro.

The Windows 10 notebook can be configured with up to 16 GB of dual channel RAM and a 1 TB PCIe SSD.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro will be available in two variants featuring either the latest 8th generation Intel Core i7 or Core i5 chipset, 2GB GeForce MX150 GPU from NVIDIA and either 8GB or 16GB of RAM. The Mi Notebook Pro features two USB-C ports, two USB ports, a 3-in-1 card reader, and an HDMI port.

Custom-made Harman Infinity speakers along with support for Dolby Atmos.

The Mi Notebook Pro comes with a large 15.6-inch screen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 6.52mm narrow bezels on the sides.

- 2-antenna AC Wi-Fi, so the Wi-Fi performance should be good. Core i7 and 8GB RAM and Core i5 with 8GB RAM. It features a 15.4-inch display with 2.9 GHz Intel core i7 processor, 512GB SSD, and 16GB of RAM. As far as availability goes, details are scant, but it will be available in China soon.
