Wonder Woman: Gadot & Pine Share Laughs in Blooper Reel

And DCEU closed the deal with director Patty Jenkins to direct Wonder Woman 2

And lo, on Monday, Variety reported that Jenkins has officially signed on for Wonder Woman 2, which is set for a December 19, 2019 release date and will once again star Gal Gadot.

According to Variety, Patty Jenkins has officially signed a deal to direct Wonder Woman 2. It was heavily assumed she would, especially after Geoff Johns revealed in June that he and Jenkins were working on the sequel's script, saying "Patty and I are writing the treatment right now".

The Hollywood Reporter writes that her deal, which is reported to be in the $7 to $9 million range, makes Jenkins the highest-paid female filmmaker in history.

The wonder woman behind this summer's blockbuster hit "Wonder Woman" is back. It's now the highest-grossing flick, domestically, of Warner Bros.'s recent batch of DCEU films, beating out "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice".

A sequel was greenlit nearly immediately after Wonder Woman surprised Hollywood with its extraordinary reviews and opening weekend, with star Gal Gadot set to return.

Jenkins came on to Wonder Woman as a replacement for director Michelle McLaren, who left the project over creative differences.

The first Wonder Woman, released in July, was an instant success, both critically and commercially. Much fuss was made over Gal Gadot's base pay in Wonder Woman - though the reports turned out to be on false claims - but not as much notice was given to Jenkins' pay. It seems to have paid off.
