Lallana Tips Oxlade-Chamberlain to Excel After Joining Liverpool

It was an unhappy debut for Oxlade Chamberlain as his new Liverpool side were thrashed by Manchester City

The England winger completed a deadline day move to Liverpool from Arsenal in a deal that could rise up to the £40m mark based on his performances in the Red shirt.

The England worldwide cited Jurgen Klopp and the chance to play in central midfield as reasons for the move.

"I always thought he didn't really flourish at Arsenal", Henry told Sky Sports.

"I think it was a better move for him than going to Chelsea, it suits him the way he plays and Jurgen Klopp is ideal for him - the high intensity and pace he has".

Oxlade-Chamberlain has also spoken of his wish to ditch the defensive responsibilities he was lumbered with having spent the last part of his Gunners career in a wing-back role he confessed he wasn't a fan of.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has suggested that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may have been tapped up by fellow Premier League side Liverpool. "Are you telling us you didn't have that at Arsenal?".

Liverpool have seven matches in 24 games until the next global break, so rotation will be key to maintaining the high-octane pressing game Klopp oversees.

For some of the other high-profile players returning to their English Premier League teams following the worldwide break, the reception might be a little frostier.

Henderson said, as quoted by the Mirror: "Well, I think, you'd have seen him [Klopp] on the sidelines, he's very passionate".

He called it "the best news" that the club can get that Woodburn is a Liverpool player, calling it "important" that they "try to protect him".

"You can find out on all players what they are not good at, but normally you also find out what they are good at".

They may have missed out on a crucial centre-back and another creative force, but keeping hold of Coutinho is massive for Liverpool's aspirations.

"France played against Holland on the last day of the transfer window".

"It's a club I've admired for years, the players that have been here and now the manager".
