Manchester City eye cut price January deal for Sanchez

Arsene Wenger is under renewed pressure after a heavy defeat to Liverpool

The north London club were ultimately unsuccessful with a £92m bid for the young French worldwide on transfer deadline day, while wantaway star Alexis Sanchez stayed at Arsenal despite repeated bids from Premier League rivals Man City for his services. I think he's a great player.

Needless to say, things aren't looking really bright for the Gunners right now, and Wenger, in particular, has been singled out for criticism.

Rodriguez, a 28-year-old model, became publicly known as Sanchez's new girlfriend after the Confederations Cup this summer, and is now being used as a scapegoat for her boyfriend's lackluster displays in the national shirt.

Arsenal were beaten 4-0 at Liverpool before the worldwide break, then sold Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to the Reds, and discontent appears to be growing again at the Emirates Stadium. "You can't have players in the dressing room who are half in and half out".

"Life is movement and quality of performance can change from one week to another. That is what we want".

"We were on the case previous year already and he was close to joining".

Bournemouth have only avoided defeat once in all competitions against the Gunners - this came at the Vitality Stadium last season, when the Cherries let a three-goal lead slip to draw 3-3 in January in the Premier League.

"He is an exceptional football player".

"At the end of the day you make a decision; we had to sell somebody. He's had a few surgeries so you are always cautious to set a time or date, but overall, yes it looks positive".

"I saw him gone". You get exhausted of those who want to see you lose.

Wenger reported that Jack Wilshere "still needs some fitness work" and Santi Cazorla, who has not played since October of previous year because of an achilles problem, had started to run. He had surgery in December.

"Santi is having his first run today", Wenger said.

Arsenal head into Saturday's game looking to get back to winning ways after their disastrous 4-0 loss to Liverpool before the global break. It's very hard to set a time.
