Reliance Jio tops Trai's average monthly speed test chart for July

Reliance JioPhone delivery to begin this Navratri

100 minutes of the local calls and STD calls to other networks and 250MB or 50MB of data.

Before the entry of Jio, there were about 12 telecom operators.

And the operator that started it all - Jio.

The Rs 4,999 plan now offers users 380GB data as opposed to 350GB data with validity increased to 210 days from 180 days.

Still data packs continue to be affordable in comparison to a year ago. The Vodafone is offering the 250MBs of mobile data for its prepaid customers using the 4G enabled smartphones, based on its websites.

Reliance Jio has just about started to test its new feature phone; incumbent operators in the telecom industry are still adjusting to the major ripples created by Jio services, and it should get ready for yet another storm. The Rs 87 plan is a bonus card. Reportedly, the JioPhone will be delivered for clients from 21 September.

This was exactly the audience that Jio aimed to capture. Airtel and Jio both are offering a recharge pack worth Rs 149. JioPhone is expected to hit the shelves around Navratri or end of September. "With over 100,000 sites, backed by state-of-the-art, all IP network, LTE spectrum across 800MHz, 1800MHz and 2300MHz bands, and largest fiber footprint, Jio has the widest LTE coverage in India than any other telecom player", Jio said. Aircel registered an upload speed of 1.289 Mbps, while BSNL has 1.105 Mbps upload speed in June 2017. With more data to avail at lower costs and higher 4G internet speeds, the average Indian user has been happy. The consumption rate surpasses even that of the United States and China.

Within six months of Jio's launch the mobile data consumption in India went up from 20 crore GB per month to 120 crore GB per month. Originally it came down to 1.94GB data per day and now it is 1.80GB data.

And what may you ask they are doing with this data? The scenario remains the same in July as well.

Mumbai: Reliance Jio, which has been viewed as the "disruptor" in Indian telecom industry, has for the seventh consecutive time topped TRAI's list of average data speed. Jio is already carrying five times more data than all other telecom players put together. Jio phone will come pre-loaded with all Jio apps including Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio Music etc making the phone an all in one entertainment device, meaning Jio Phone can very easily turn into a DTH device in itself by simply topping up for Rs. 309 per month. However it has yet to tackle the problem of active subscribers which have been declining month on month of its network.

Reliance Jio disrupted the entire telecom space with its free and unlimited data and voice calling services. The plan also comes with bundled calls with the same caps on free minutes as the Rs. 349 plan.

Jio has helped India move up from its lowly position globally to a leading position in mobile broadband usage.

The JioPhone features a 2.4-inch QVGA display and is fueled by either Qualcomm's Snapdragon 205 or Spreadtrum's 9820A chipset.
