UM to open football season in all-maize uniform at Florida Gators

Michigan's Jim Harbaugh and Florida's Jim McElwain may be in the middle of a silent standoff about their depth charts ahead of Saturday's meeting at AT&T Stadium, but they are not holding their tongues long enough to avoid a few barbs.

"When you guys get their roster, let me know who we're playing", he said.

Like most teams, Florida has announced its final roster.

Harbaugh had no interest providing any more information about his roster, including who will start at quarterback for the Wolverines, during his meeting with reporters on Monday. "And that was his choice in doing it. Some people like the element of surprise", Harbaugh said, laughing.

The highly-touted Robinson, who came to Florida as a 4-star wide receive prospect according to 247Sports, ran into trouble with the law earlier this year while visiting a Big Ten powerhouse. He answered: "I have not heard Florida announce who their starting quarterback will be". Speight won nine games in his first year leading the offense last year. Graduate transfer Malik Zaire (Notre Dame) and redshirt freshman Feleipe Franks are competing with Luke Del Rio, the junior incumbent.

"The quarterback situation, we have a plan that's in place", McElwain said.

MI will wear all-maize uniforms vs. Florida.

This Saturday, the Michigan Wolverines will take the field against the Gators in the first regular-season contest between the schools.

MI and Florida kick things off at 3:30 at AT&T Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
