The Supreme Court sacked Sharif after an investigation into corruption allegations against him and his family, making him the 15th prime minister in Pakistan's 70-year history to be ousted before completing a full term.

A Pakistani newspaper on Friday suggested to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to go for a snap election instead of taking out rallies denouncing the Supreme Court for unseating him on corruption charges.

A speeding auto accompanying Nawaz Sharif's "homecoming" motorcade crushed a nine-year-old child in Lalamusa, Punjab, on Friday, the media reported.

"You voted for me and "five honourable" (judges) with a single stroke of pen sent me home", 67-year-old Sharif told his supporters in Jhelum on the second day of his journey from Islamabad to Lahore via the Grand Trunk (GT) Road.

Last month, Sharif was disqualified by a five-member Supreme Court bench for dishonesty.

According to the scheduled of Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N), Sharif is expected to spend the night in Gujranwala.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Pakistan's new premier who replaced Sharif a week after his July 28 disqualification, has ordered special measures for Sharif's safety.

His wife is likely to lead the PML-N in parliament.

Rashid further said that the PML-N was being "forced" to contest the by-election due to Nawaz's ouster, adding that they should do so on a level playing field without using government machinery. Did I commit any kind of corruption? "I believe the people of Islamabad and Rawalpindi should be congratulated for having stood by Nawaz Sharif", he said.

Sharif said in his Gujrat speech he would personally visit the boy's home "and try to help his family for life".

Sharif's political caravan slowly made its way into the rural areas of Punjab province en route to his hometown of Lahore.

"I don't expect you to reinstate me, but I want you to support me for the betterment of this country". Someone tell me why I was ousted. "If you hold these people accountable for their deeds now then Pakistan will surely survive", he said. While Pakistan Peoples Party's Faisal Mir, Zubair Kardar, Azizur Rehman Chan and Sajida Mir, PPP Shaheed Bhutto Group's Shakeel Gilani, Jamat-e-Islami's Zikrullah Mujahid and Pakistan Awami Tehreek's Ishtiaq Chaudhry submitted their nomination papers.
