Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, or GLOW, was a pretty big deal back in the eighties, and it looks like it's a big deal once again as Netflix comedy series, GLOW, has been renewed for a second season.

Netflix didn't mention anything about when GLOW Season 2 will premiere, but we're hoping we get it right around the start of the summer in 2018.

In addition to Brie, the series stars Betty Gilpin, Marc Maron, Sydelle Noel, Britney Young, Kate Nash, and more, all of whom add up to make up one of the larger female ensembles on scripted television right now.

The show dramatised the story of David McLane's campy "Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling" promotion from the 1980's, and was created by Kenji Kohan, who also produced the popular Orange Is The New Black series for Netflix. The show's official Twitter handle posted the news shortly after with a video, as you can see below.

Like Orange Is the New Black, GLOW, inspired by the short-lived but beloved show from the '80s, has been a critical and pop culture hit. While many aspects of GLOW live on in some of the more cartoonish aspects of today's wrestling leagues, the league failed to attract a wide audience and only lasted four seasons.
